At Vista Grande, the students and teachers have set sail on a voyage of collaboration, innovation and creativity this year! All students are using Chromebooks or the computer lab to access a variety of digital tools such as ST Math, Pearson Realize, KidBlog, Spelling/Vocabulary City, Edmodo, Imagine Learning, and Google Apps such as Google Hangout. These tools are motivating for students and create blended learning opportunities enabling teachers to provide “just right” instruction in small groups. We are also excited this year to have schoolwide art and music enrichment programs made possible through the generous support of our PTA! ArtReach of San Diego provides standards-based art workshops for each class monthly. Teachers are collaborating weekly in grade level teams to refine and enhance learning opportunities for students. The journey continues to be both exciting and rewarding as the Vista Grande staff charts a course for student success!
