The students and staff at Avocado Elementary School have moved #GatorForward and are now on a roll! Last year, the Gator Nation demonstrated successful implementations of our new academic programs and important technology initiatives, all while maintaining a growth mindset.

This year, our students and teachers returned from the summer break to find sweeping equipment upgrades, green initiative lighting and important campus improvements. These changes have positively kick-started our focus on building community through our PTA, flexible seating options and a new speech/counseling center; will aid us in identifying our new claim of distinction; and most importantly will support our efforts to increase our students’ academic success through our CTC writing program, blended learning implementation and visible learning initiatives.

Thank you to Dr. Miyashiro and Board Member Jill Barto for making time in your busy schedules to support Avocado Elementary School. The Gator Nation is excited for another amazing year! Then again, that is how we #AVGatorsRoll!
