Anza Elementary… A Source of Inspiration and Ideas

Anza has moved to a campus where students experience learning through hands on activities that allow for creativity and real life problem solving. Students are using technology, engineering, robotics, and doing projects daily to enhance their learning and prepare them for the real world. Anza is quickly becoming one of the schools that other sites will look to for inspiration and ideas.

Johnson Elementary receives gift from El Cajon High School

Johnson
On Tuesday, June 2, the first grade students at Johnson Elementary School were treated to a great surprise! The students from Ms. Castagnera’s Special Day Class at El Cajon High School read Zak the Yak, about a yak that helps to collect books for a school in Nepal. Some of the non-verbal students used adaptive technology to voice their parts, while others read with the help of a student buddy. At the end of the assembly, the high school students presented many books they had collected during a book drive to our school library! Thank you, Ms. Castagnera’s SDC Class, for all your hard work!
